I am fortunate to have three floor looms in my weaving studio in the basement of our home. Weaving is a slow and beautiful process, and there is still so much to learn! Stop by to see what I have been doing, and how I am processing this creative endeavor. Thanks for visiting!

Black/Off White Shawl
New Scarf
I wove this scarf as a gift. A sage green weft and the sage and a brighter green and a evergreen along with a colorful railroad yarn in the warp. It ended up about 9 inches wide and 70 inches long. I have been twisting the fringe on the last several shawls and did that again here. It was good to do in that the warping went on quickly and the weaving also. I am thinking that this could easily be an item to have at Farmer's Markets and those kinds of places in a variety of colors.

Recent Weavings
I have been doing some weaving -- though mostly shawls on the Allen loom during the fall.

Loom Room
More pictures of my "new" weaving room. Check the pictures from last year and notice the differences! We converted one of our storage rooms into this weaving room and then made the other storage room that had had the looms in it into a storage room (with the weight machine, too.) Good changes for all of us! And now in the daytime, I have daylight to help with my weaving and mood!
I have lights above each of the looms with individual switches. I am so happy with the colors, the floor with the concrete acid stain and the whole feel of the space! Isn't it great!
Note the "window" into the family room - daylight from the windows there
The Allen Loom looks pretty small here

My new weaving room.... great color and lights!
The weaving on the wall was on the walking loom, but I had to cut it off in order to take the loom apart and move it. But it looks pretty good as a sample and wall hanging.

New Rug Rio Grande Style
I am continuing to take a weaving class through Northern New Mexico College and cut off the second rug yesterday. It is about 23" wide and 40" long. It isn't perfect, but I did learn (and relearn) a couple of techniques, especially about stopping with one color and adding another. Here are a few pictures, too!
